The Power of Saying NO!

Do you struggle with telling others no? I definitely do. To be honest, I struggle telling my 18 month old no!

All jokes aside, this seems to be a common problem amongst moms all over the world.

Every “YES” or commitment you make is a “NO” to whatever you need to do for yourself.

I had the opportunity to sit in on a talk with the famous wearer of many hats, Laila Ali! You may know her as the daughter of Muhammad Ali. She really made a name for herself from her teens hustling as an entrepreneur to training in secret to become an undefeated champion in Women’s Boxing.

I had one particular question for her!

Here’s what she had to say…

After rewatching this clip, I really started to reflect. I was complaining about how I lacked time for me. I then evaluated what I was committing to.

I quickly realized I needed to do what I actually wanted to do and not what people asked me to do.

My absolute favorite thing she had to say with my question was that you know how you are at your best. More than likely you have been your best at some point in your life. Everyday you should strive to be your very best! Do what is best for you.

This talk really motivated me and I saw how I should focus on myself throughout the day and not get caught up in the day to day motions of being a mother. So I decided to sit down and curate a Self Care Checklist that was simple enough to complete daily even with a busy schedule! Would you like it for FREE?! I thought you might say YASS!
